About Us

Kurt Becker is a business attorney with both large law firm and company in-house experience.  I am happy to do a brief, initial consultation with you at no charge so that I can determine if my experience is a good fit.  I sometimes team with other lawyers when necessary for the matter.  Kurt has experience across thousands of commercial transactions and an intensity, years of experience, and agility that may fit your needs.

I can draft agreements, help negotiate terms, and help push to get deals done.  For those deals within  my core competency, I bring intensity, more than 30 years’ experience and, where appropriate, value-based pricing.  I have worked on literally billions of dollars of IP and technology transactions.

We know many technologies and how to leverage that knowledge in delivery of legal services.

I concentrate on commercial transactions of all kinds, particularly IP and technology transactions. I draft and negotiate agreements and help clients get deals done.

I have handled complex technology licensing deals; one-off or portfolio-wide IP licensing deals; and many types of  complex and routine technology licensing and other business transactions.

I am not a full service law firm. I focus on business transactions. I have a background both as a partner at a large law firm and then many years in-house.

Do you want a seasoned attorney with years of experience in IP and technology transactions? By retaining Fulcrum Legal, you secure more than 30 years’ experience representing companies in commercial transactions.  That experience spans a large law firm and then 9+ years in-house experience in a corporate legal department and with a startup.  In some areas, I have done thousands of transactions.

Many IP or technology transactions need to move briskly.  Prospective clients and current clients get fast answers regarding potential conflicts, and Kurt can begin work rapidly. There is no cumbersome process required to approve such engagements. Where appropriate, I may propose fixed fee or other value-based pricing.
